Here I sit, waiting,
Not really wondering, but contemplating,
If the life I lead
Is really what I need.

I haven't thought much about
Any alternative route,
That would take me away
From where I am today.

The thoughts I that run
Through my mind for fun
Have always found a way
To make or break my day.

And yet I still wait
And wonder, to love or to hate?
Making the best of what's given,
Remembering to stay driven.

Each day that has passed
Only compiles the stress that has massed.
What will happen next?
I don't know, just read the text.

Who's to say they're to blame?
Why not submit, and bare the shame?
Maybe I am the one who's right.
Me, the one who waits in the light.

I'm through with doubting.
Done with this endless shouting.
It's tearing me into pieces,
And that light at the end... Oh, it teases.

The end seems so close.
Yet I know for now it is only verbose,
The way that time passes
Makes me fill and emtpy the glasses.

But for how hopeless it all seems,
I know that the end will come by its own means.
And no matter what it may hold,
I look forward to it, strong and bold.
